CHARACTER:
The Architect of Chaos, the Weaver of Worlds, the Supreme Arbiter of "Are You Sure You Want to Do That?" The unseen force behind every whispered legend, lurking horror, and unfortunate critical failure. I am the voice of gods and monsters, the keeper of secrets, the spinner of impossible choices. With a smirk (or a groan), I craft intricate plots only to watch them unravel at the hands of unpredictable adventurers. A master of lore, imposter syndrome, and emergency improvisation, I thrive in the beautiful disaster that is Hammanaroth!
PLAYER:
Rich started his journey into RPGs with the Tunnels and Trolls and Dragon Warrior books which quickly evolved into playing DnD, many....many moons ago., and is now the co-creator of the Hammanaroth homebrew world in which the games are set. When not enjoying time with my family you can find him at the boxing gym, on his motorbike, building LEGO or more likely at the computer working on the podcast and related projects
CHARACTER:
Scarred from shoulder to thigh, Tholandi Vurthr carries his past as steadily as his limp. Sturdy and weathered from years of cold mornings and long hunts, he dresses simply, marked by faded spiritual tattoos and stone tokens on worn cords. Calm and watchful, he’s a man shaped more by loss than ambition, carrying burdens he rarely names.
PLAYER:
Sean is an old school D&D Player who fondly remembers when AD&D was released (“remember THAC0 and those awesome Monster Manual Binders – I wish those were still a thing”). He says he played some great D&D as a young man, and has been looking for that same feeling… and with Hammanaroth, he has finally found it. He loves a little party tension and a little more laughter, he is now also running TTRPGs for his children and their friends, bringing the joy of D&D to a new generation.
CHARACTER:
Faedra’s life began in hardship—an orphan drifting across Hammanaroth on the kindness of strangers. Refusing the malice survival often breeds, she found purpose as a travelling storyteller, offering hope and escapism. For the past decade, she’s called The Emberroad Company home, honing her illusionary craft under her mentor, Merrick.
PLAYER:
Sarah, a child of the nineties raised on Tolkien and Pratchett, discovered tabletop RPGs eight years ago and never looked back. She loves crafting voices and characters, dabbling on both sides of the DM screen. After work stole much of her creative time, she’s thrilled to sink her teeth into a project this rich.
CHARACTER
At 15 years old, Zoph’s tiny frame and wide eyes can make her seem like easy prey. But her upbringing in the frozen north has made her sturdy, fierce and deeply independent. She journeys to find her people, to find a place of safety and most of all to find herself.
PLAYER
Ellie is an actor who discovered the joy of TTRPGs during the Pandemic. She performs in theatre and has been a guest of Legends Unrolled in their liveplay show “A Rose to Die For”. She loves playing bold characters and loves the collaborative storytelling opportunities that Hammanaroth brings. When not nerding out, she loves reading fantasy novels and travelling the world.
CHARACTER
Bjorn Ericson the no-nonsense warrior, was born in the far flung village of Valsgarde, North of Dosmoyra and was raised with all the beliefs and traditions of that warrior society. He does not seek death but is not afraid of it, wanting nothing more than a notable, valorous death in battle to allow his soul to spend eternity with the Gods.
Exiled from the Alliance’s lands for reasons wild horses couldn’t drag from him, he became an itinerant pirate and mercenary, travelling the inner sea. For a man of his skills there is no lack of work in the world as it exists now. Despite those skills he barely survived his most recent battle, his troop annihilated, he was rescued from deaths door by a wandering traveler and found himself in what amounts to a refugee camp. Nursing his wounds until he is recovered enough to re-enter the fray.
PLAYER
A white collar professional by day, and a nerd by night, Nathan’s been playing TTRPG’s since circa 1987, (yes, he’s that old) and fondly remembers the Lone Wolf and Cub choose your own adventure books. His nerdy interests aren’t limited to D&D, he has a keen interest in board games, war games, fantasy and sci-fi literature, Movies & TV. To dot the T’s and cross the I’s he’s a history and military buff to boot.
It's not all hunching over tables and clacking dice, he’s a cricket tragic, follows his beloved Canberra Raiders religiously, and has aspirations of one day running a food truck. BBQ anyone?
Australian born and bred he’s just returned from a ten year sojourn in the UK where amongst other things he was able to tick off two massive items from his bucket list. Attending an Ashes test match at Lords and flying a Spitfire.
CHARACTER
Kaia Vaelros, a half-elf, grew up in a travelling band of performers, The Moon and Mirth Company, as they traversed the Sheod Forest. Having an affinity for the Weave, she was taught to channel this through tarot cards. Having left her troupe that she grew up with to venture out on her own, she meets Faedra, the Tiefling Bard, who she quickly forms a sibling-like bond with. A lover of a bit of mischief and a chief believer in being forever curious, Kaia enjoys what she does and cherishes the glimmers of joy she can give people. She is learning to harness the Weave through divination and study. "Fate visits every soul"
PLAYER
Liv is an Allied Health Professional by day and an aspiring Voice Actor by night. While a long time lover of all things fantasy, sci-fi and whimsical, she has always been a spectator at the table and had minimal chances to play. Falling in love with DnD and all things TTRPG, she has discovered she is in fact a dice goblin and can't resist a shiny trinket! She is looking forward to stepping into the world of Daggerheart and all the horror and delight it might bring.
CHARACTER
Kremlev Pavlenko has spent years on the road, chasing a secret he keeps close. A young hunter forced to grow up fast, he greets life with optimism, finding the good in every situation and friends in every town. Selling his outdoor skills as he drifts from place to place, he’s always listening for the lead that might end his search.
PLAYER
Harry is a lifelong hobbyist, skilled fool, and more often a DM than a player. Hooked on miniatures since youth, he’s happiest with a casual game—whether it’s pushing armies across a table or rolling dice in an RPG.
Two mates, bound by TTRPGs since 2004, forged a friendship through RPGs, board games, and an appreciation for the absurd. With 65+ years of combined experience rolling dice, we spent years chasing the RPG dragon—only to find it in our own homebrew world, packed with pop culture nods and ridiculous fun. The next step? Assembling a crew that matched our love for immersive storytelling and unfiltered hilarity. After a few false starts and practice runs, we finally hit our stride—and the podcast was born.
First and foremost, we’re making this for us—our group, our fun, our ridiculous adventures. No over-polished, curated content here—just raw, unfiltered storytelling where fun always comes first. Our goal? Put it out there, see what happens, and let the chaos unfold. If you’re reading this, a massive thank you for spending some of your precious time with our crazy stories. We hope you enjoy the ride as much as we do!
We will be releasing new episodes fortnightly, with the occasional accompanying LEGO animation or still—because funsies. Everything is self-funded, and while we’ve worked hard on the audio, it’s a learning curve. Expect steady improvements—from the rough early episodes to better performances and sound quality over time.
A huge THANK YOU to anyone tuning in and spreading the word! We’re open to constructive feedback to help us improve but won’t engage with trolls. And if all goes well, expect more podcasts beyond 'Chronicles of Hammanroth'—new systems, different DMs, and plenty more ridiculous stories to come!
<M> for machine-created. <M+H> = For mostly machine created with human updates/changes/tweaks/ mods. <H+M> = Created mostly by flesh and blood humans but machine filtered. <H> = 100% Good old fashioned home grown human. Our goal to eventually have all our art 100% <H>.
